A member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (formerly known as SSDC), Paul Russell has brought thoughtful, unique, perspectives to new plays and classic musicals. His provocative and bold rethinking of the classic musical Oliver (set during the Blitz of 1941) was presented at both the Barter Theatre and Cape Fear Regional Theatre.

Presently he teaches NYU students at The Atlantic Theater Company and privately. He has also spoken to theater students, by invitation, on the campuses of America’s finest performing arts schools including: Temple University, Yale, The University of The Arts and Northeastern University. Whether working one-on-one with actors or in groups, Paul enjoys guiding and helping actors discover effective audition techniques and modern marketing strategies that they’ve yet to discover for themselves.
